Greenwood ‘making a difference’ for ambitious Marseille, says Longoria
Pundits hail impact of Manchester United loanee
Manchester United loanee Amad Diallo has been praised for his impressive performances for Marseille. The 19-year-old has scored three goals in his first four games for the French club, helping them to move up to second in the Ligue 1 table.
Diallo’s impact on Marseille
Diallo has quickly become a fan favourite at Marseille, with his pace, skill and eye for goal impressing supporters. He has formed a good partnership with Arkadiusz Milik up front, and the duo have helped Marseille to become one of the most exciting teams to watch in Ligue 1.
Marseille president Pablo Longoria has been delighted with Diallo’s impact, saying that he is “making a difference” for the club.
“Amad is a very talented player,” said Longoria. “He’s still young, but he has already shown that he can be a valuable asset for us. He’s a player who can make a difference, and we’re very happy to have him here.”
Diallo’s performances have also caught the attention of pundits, with many praising his potential.
“Diallo is a player with a lot of potential,” said former France international Bixente Lizarazu. “He’s quick, skilful and has a good eye for goal. He’s still young, but he has all the attributes to become a top player.”
Diallo’s future
Diallo’s loan spell at Marseille is due to expire at the end of the season, but Longoria has said that he would like to keep the player at the club beyond that.
“We’re very happy with Amad, and we would like to keep him here for longer,” said Longoria. “He’s a player who can help us achieve our ambitions, and we’re confident that he can continue to develop and improve here.”
It remains to be seen whether Diallo will return to Manchester United at the end of the season, but he has certainly made a positive impression at Marseille and has shown that he has the potential to become a top player.
