Country music star Phil Vassar has opened up about his health battles after he says he died twice and suffered a major heart attack and stroke in early 2023.

In a recent interview with Evan Paul for Taste of Country, Vassar revealed that he suffered both a heart attack and stroke in early 2023. The 62-year-old "Six-Pack Summer" hitmaker says he died twice before being resuscitated.

Vassar says he is now on the mend and is grateful for the support of his family and friends. He is also encouraging others to take care of their health and to get regular checkups.
